Film captures the ordinary moments in life and turns them into something so raw and nostalgic.
It occurred to me how Volleyball was the complete highlight of my Junior College days. Some nights, I dream to play with the wonderful bunch of teammates again, to sweat and glide against the new yet dusty maple hardwood flooring of the multi-purpose hall, to experience the euphoria that strikes me each time I set off for a spike.
Today's generation: What is the first thing you do as soon as your food arrives? Grab the utens... phone? I have always found no sense in halting the entire dining table just to snap a few shots of the food simply for your own pleasure. But for film, nothing's impossible?
How I feel about capturing food with film is that it does not make your meal look the best it should be, it does not make you salivate over it. Instead, these photos serve as a visual therapy. It focuses more on conveying the essence of the atmosphere rather than the food itself.
I foresee a mid-semester crisis coming along.
